The advertising on this game is very reasonable and one of the best gameplay to ad ratio I have seen in a while. the customization is really good with lots of different levels of play and lots of different rules to set. Would recommend this version of Spades if you are looking to get one. I have read some of the other reviews and find a lot of the same frustrations.
Today I had a partner go nil a lot to lead high, and have a lower card that could be covered. I had no chance to win based on his play performance. Happened twice. Equally frustrating is the algorithm. I can have the of a suit, play the 7, and get set by partner, UNDO, play the 8 and be covered. That doesn't make sense. For a free and well designed app, they're short and skippable so I think its tolerable. My only real problem is when it hits a certain time of year like now and I'm inundated with political ads. Politics are everywhere, at least let me play cards in peace lol. Like, if you aren't going to include an option to purchase an ad-free version, at least don't subject me to campaign ads. I've been playing for maybe a year now. This game has its ups and downs. I like the competitive aspect of this game even though some of the gameplay has some questionable head scratchers that will make you want to toss your phone across the room. Doesn't work well with external audio as it cuts out to feature repetitive ads between games. It has improved my Spades play if there's anything to gain from it. So, thank you. I agree with those claims that once you get to the higher levels, your wins decrease significantly.
I am a Statistician, and the odds of the high numbers of sucessful nils dealt to your opponents, and losing hands dealt you, cannot be random.
